Ayurveda is based on the belief that health and wellness depend on a delicate balance between the mind, body, and spirit. According to Ayurvedic principles, everything in the universe, including humans, is made up of five elements: space, air, fire, water, and earth. These elements combine to form three doshas or energies: Vata (air and space), Pitta (fire and water), and Kapha (water and earth).

Each person has a unique combination of these doshas, which is determined at the time of conception and remains constant throughout their life. Imbalances or disturbances in the doshas are believed to lead to illness and disease. There are eight branches in Ayurveda;
